Day 20 - It's a pattern!

I am a little late for my usual post but it’s still Day 20, so it’s ok! I had a millions things to do today and I left home in a rush this morning, so I totally forgot to accessorize! At least the top is colorful and has a lovely pattern that makes up for the lack of a bracelet or a ring.
The weather was a lot colder today and I suppose that means we are finally entering autumn. I’m so glad! I can’t wait to go shopping for winter shoes...

Jeans: Harley Davidson
Top: Zara
Shoes: Zara

Face: same as yesterday
Eyes: a corally e/s from the 26 Coastal Scents palette, Korres black eyeliner smudged (at the outer corner), Korres lengthening mascara
Cheeks: Mac blush in peaches
Lips: Liposan (classic)

I have to leave you now because my Souvlaki awaits! It’s my once-a-week “Souvlaki night”. I allow myself this treat and I enjoy it while watching a nice movie. What’s your favorite treat (or should I say “sin”)?

Day 19 - Lilac and grey!

Today I had a business appointment, but in this city you can never make plans! Most of the streets were packed or closed due to the usual strikes and disagreements. I’m not taking sides, but as much as it is one's right to protest, it is also one's right to be able to go to work. We can't afford canceling appointments in these difficult times!
But anyway, this blog is not about politics, it’s about fashion and beauty, so let’s get on with my outfit. I love lilac with grey, but then grey goes with almost anything, doesn’t it?
I matched my eye make up with the outfit (mostly because it was so fast and easy!) and it occurred to me that I don’t really wear colorful eyeliners so much. I think I may start wearing them more often, they’re fun and interesting.
Same background once again, but it's the only spot where I have some privacy. I don’t feel so comfortable taking my own pictures out on the street. Ok, I am vain, but not that much!!!

Jeans: Bershka
Top: Zara
Tube top (underneath): random shop
Shoes: Zara
Belt: Bershka
Bag: H&M

Face: same as yesterday
Eyes: NYX highlight e/s on the lid, MAC Spring Colour Forecast - Colour 3 Eyeshadow Quad (Black tulip as an eyeliner), Korres eyeliner in light grey (at the waterline), Korres lengthening mascara
Cheeks: NYX blush in silky rose
Lips: Avon glazewear sparkle in cotton candy

I don’t have any ideas today so I’m just going to ask you this: do you like the “365 days project” so far? Do you think I should add or change something? (please be blunt!)

Day 18 - Shopping for jeans (and bonus Chewy picture!)

Today I went shopping for jeans. It seems that I’ve lost a bit of weight lately and all my jeans are becoming saggy, so I was looking to buy something with a slim fit. I went to an outlet and I found a nice pair of skinny Gas jeans at a very good price. I’m so happy with my new purchase! I will be posting looks very soon...
As for today’s outfit, it’s the shorts I wore here and a simple tank top from Zara, with a DKNY front-zip sweater for kids! I actually bought it from the kids section a few years ago and I like wearing it on top of tank tops.

Shorts: Bershka
Tank top: Zara
Sweater: DKNY
Shoes: www.cutesygirl.com
Bag: Guess

(note: something got in my eyes when I was taking the pics and I accidentally removed most of the eyeliner from the waterline!)

Face: Korres watermelon oil free tinted moisturiser SPF 30, Nivea perfect cover concealer, Mac mineralize skin finish natural
Eyes: beige e/s from NYX smokey eyes palette, Maybelline khol eyeliner in bleu saphir (smudged with a brush towards the outer corner), Korres lengthening mascara, Korres black eyeliner
Cheeks: Korres Monoi oil bronzing powder, NYX blush in Silky rose
Lips: Seventeen ultra gloss lipgloss no22 frosty

Oh, and here’s my other baby, Chewy, sleeping in my couch. I gave him a nice bath yesterday and his fur is so shiny and soft again! He’s such a nice cat, always sleeping next to me and purring all the time. If only he wasn’t sick, my poor baby... :(

I got Chewy 2 years ago from a pet society and they didn’t tell me he has Leukemia. I found out a couple of months later but still I kept him, although I know there will be a lot of pain for both of us when he gets worse. I have to prepare his food every day (he can only eat canned food mashed into a thin puree) and feed him with a spoon. His teeth and gums hurt and I feel so sorry for him because there’s no cure for that. I just pray it won’t get any worse and that he may live a long life!

Day 17 - Another baby coming up!

Lately all my friends and acquaintances are in “baby fever”! I feel as an outsider to this whole “trend”. As if they are all growing up and I’m being left behind somehow! But having a child is a very big commitment in one’s life and of course you need a husband first, don’t you? LOL!
Anyway, I went to see my BFF yesterday, who is 6 months pregnant. She has a big “pointy” baby bump by now and I was very glad to see how happy she feels. She offered to take some pics of me for my blog post, so the background has changed, at least for today!

Jeans: Zara
Top: Zara
Shoes: Zara
Earrings: random accessories shop

Make up is same as in Day 16 (it was actually the same day for me) except for the lips, where I applied a Maybelline Lipgloss in apricot attraction.

I’m not going to ask a “babies” question again, so here’s something irrelevant: where do you usually buy the majority of your clothes from? I suddenly realized that I have bought quite a lot from Zara!

Day 16 - The Devil wears...Zara!!!

As you might have guessed from the title, this post is about an inspired look by the film “The Devil wears Prada”. From this outfit in particular:

The minute I saw this dress at Zara it reminded me of the one Ann Hathaway was wearing at the movie, and it was really cheap so I bought it (a year ago I think). I didn’t recreate the outfit exactly as it was, since I don’t own any bronze pumps or the exact type of belt. I accessorized it my own way but I think it’s pretty close.
For the make up I used a black eyeliner for the eyes (and smudged it) and a bright orangey lipstick.

Dress: Zara
Shoes: my mother’s (from a random shop)
Belt: vintage
Bangles: vintage
Pendant: my mother’s (with her name engraved)

Face: Korres watermelon oil free tinted moisturiser SPF 30, Nivea perfect cover concealer, Mac mineralize skin finish natural
Eyes: Korres black eyeliner, NYX highlight e/s, Korres lengthening mascara
Cheeks: Mac blush in Peaches
Lips: NYX lipliner in tangerine, NYX lipstick in Margarita

Which outfit from the movie is your favorite? I know it’s an older movie but I’m sure you still like to watch it, don’t you?!

Day 15 - Summer all over again!

Today the weather was very nice, so I went out for a coffee with a friend. We had a lovely time at a cafe by the sea and I regret not taking my camera with me. I could have taken some very nice pictures there. I took my blog pics as soon as I got back and I have to apologize for the belated post, but I was out all day!

Tank top: Zara
Waistcoat: Bershka
Shorts: from a random boutique in my city
Shoes: same as here
Accessories: from various accessories shops in my city

Face: Korres watermelon oil free tinted moisturiser SPF 30, Nivea perfect cover concealer, Mac mineralize skin finish natural
Eyes: Mac nylon and satin taupe e/s, Avon super extend mascara, Korres black eyeliner
Cheeks: Elf contouring blush and bronzing powder
Lips: Exclusive elegance double lipgloss

What are your plans for the weekend?

Day 14 - Vogue Fashion’s Night Out!

Yesterday it was FNO in Athens and of course I couldn’t miss it! I have to say I wasn’t very impressed with the events that were held in the various shops, nor the party that followed. Last year the party was more glamourous and fun. But we all know that my country is not in a very good financial state, so I guess the budgets are getting tighter and tighter!
Unfortunately I couldn’t wear something glamourous because there was a lot of walking involved and also I left home at around 18:30. So, that left me feeling a little bit underdressed at the party, but what can you do?!
I wore the closest thing to “comfortable shoes” I could think of (flats are out of the question!), which is a pair of red patent D&G wedges. The rest of the outfit was pretty simple and the make up was like the one I had the night before (in my “Hitchcock movie” post), except for the lips (I applied my Korres lipgloss in Coral).

Top: D&G
Skirt: Zara
Shoes: D&G
Belt: original navy belt (from my brother)
Bag: Longchamp

(note: my brother was at the party last night, so he took some pics of me too! Lucky me, ha?!)

Did you attend FNO in country? Was there a special event or celebrity that caught your eye?
