Day 58 - Few words!

This outfit is from yesterday’s lunch with my parents and the pics where taken at a nearby park. I don’t feel like writing much because my beloved cat Chewy is very sick and I’m afraid he’s not going to make it. If you read my blog you know that he suffers from Leukemia and up until last week he was fairly well except from a stomatitis that made his teeth and gums hurt. I was feeding him with a syringe, but other than that he was playful and purring all the time.
But the last 3 days the illness kicked in and got to his liver and who knows how many other organs. He can’t eat or drink at all, he can barely walk and he’s in a terrible condition. I will take him to the vet this afternoon and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do to prolong his life or if this is the end. I am devastated! I love him so much and he’s always been so nice and cuddly. I can’t believe I’m going to lose him!
I’m sorry if I depressed you but it’s just the way I feel....

Day 57 - Surprise party!

Last night I went to a surprise birthday party that my friend’s boyfriend threw for her. They would supposedly go out for a drink to celebrate her birthday (just the two of them), but we were all there to surprise her. The look on her face when she walked in and saw us at the bar was priceless!
It has started to get pretty cold here but I didn’t care. I wore my new Tally Weijl skirt with my new shoe boots (that you first saw here) and a Nara Camicie shirt with some nice crochet details that my mom had bought from Italy ages ago. That's why you should’t throw out your old clothes, because you never know what might come back in fashion!

Day 56 - New shoes (part deux)!

Don’t you feel excited when you wear something new? The smell of it, the fact that it’s unworn and the millions of outfits you create in your head with it! Sometimes I even dream about my new purchases or about things that are in wishlist. I know, my situation is incurable...
In this outfit I’m wearing the second pair of shoes I got online, from New Look (the first was here). I love the shearling trend, and when it’s incorporated in sky-high heels, I love it even more. They’re not the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn, but who cares? They’re pretty and that’s what counts!
I’m also wearing a brand new pair of jeans (from Boohoo), which have the strangest fit. They are slim and tight at the calves and they feel a bit loose at the hips. If I had gone with the smaller size it would fit at the hips but not at the calves. Go figure! Overall, I like it though, and it was pretty cheap too...

Day 55 - Roses and polka dots!

Has the thought ever crossed your mind, that you may have multiple personalities? Well, it’s something that I have thought about myself, because one minute I’m a rock chick, the next I’m in a grunge mood, the next in sleek tailored dresses and so on! There are so many styles I like and I can’t limit my outfits to only one.
Today I was in the mood for something sweet and girly. And I also got my Boohoo order, which was another important factor, I guess. One of my mid-season sale purchases was this cute little skirt (at the mere price of £5!) amongst other nice things that you are going to see very soon. I’m so happy when I find great bargains and when what I order online fits me. Although I’m still a bit puzzled about the sizing. But this skirt certainly fits ...

Day 54 - Something simple!

Yesterday I wore something pretty simple but nice (imo). Sometimes you don’t have to go overboard to create a nice outfit. And sometimes you just have to get dressed and go! So, I wore one of my favorite and most comfortable trousers with a matching top and some braces to spice it up a bit. I got a little creative with the pics because otherwise they would look very flat...

Trench coat: Zara
Trousers: Artisti Italiani
Top: Mango
Braces: vintage
Shoes: Zara
Sunglasses: Rayban

I didn’t have the time to take pics of my make up, but I did a similar look to one I had created some time ago for my youtube channel. You can find a tutorial for it here

Face: Korres watermelon oil free tinted moisturizer SPF 30, Nivea perfect cover concealer, Mac mineralize skin finish natural
Eyes: Mac paradisco, Mac tone grey quad (waft e/s), Mac falling star, L’Oreal retractable grey eyeliner, Avon super extend mascara
Cheeks: Biolife blush in No13
Lips: a dab of NYX lipstick in Margarita

No questions today! Just comment on anything you like (or don’t like!)

Day 53 - Athens Xclusive Designers Week - Vassilis Emmanuel Zoulias!

Another night at the AXDW last night. I chose to attend Mr. Zoulias‘ fashion show because I love his designs. Those of you who are subscribed to my youtube channel are aware of my passion for vintage and retro in clothes and make up. I adore the styles of past decades and old Hollywood icons.
Mr. Zoulias’ collections are inspired from past decades, specifically the 50’s and the 60’s. The SS 2011 collection Prêt-à-Porter that he presented last night at the AXWD was inspired by Jean-Luc Godard’s film “Le Mépris” (starring Brigitte Bardot). There was a video wall at the beginning of the runway showing Godard’s film and songs by B.B. like “Tu veux ou tu veux pas?”, which completed the whole 50’s - French Riviera atmosphere. The clothes were beautiful and feminine in a very elegant way. Pastel plaid, heart necklines, pencil dresses and nice fabrics on dresses and skirts. I also loved the Bardo-esque hairstyles and make up!

And some outfit pics:

Top, skirt, shoes and leopard coat from Zara and vintage Pierre Cardin clutch

Face: MUFE lift foundation, Benefit Booing concealer, MUFE HD powder
Eyes: like in yesterday’s post except I used Elizabeth Arden e/s on the crease and lid
Cheeks: Mac buddy up mineralize blush
Lips: L’Oreal glam shine No203, Seventeen lipliner in winter rose

Would you wear 50’s style clothes and make up? (I definitely would....and have already!!!)

Day 52 - My new shoes go merry-go-round!

I recently got these lace up peep toe shoe boots and I couldn’t wait to wear them. Last night I went for a late dinner with a friend and found the perfect spot to shoot my blog pics: a playground! I could barely fit in the tiny horse, lol!
What do you think about the shoes? I like them a lot. But next time I will wear them with socks cause it’s getting colder now and I’m starting to love the socks-with-peep-toes trend!
I’m going shoe crazy and can’t get enough buying new ones. I’m continuously scouting the internet to find new online shops and bargains. Do you have any suggestions for me (except the usual asos, newlook, miss selfridge etc)?

Oh, and after playing around, I had to relax in my luxurious yaught, lol!!!

Jacket: Yes London

Shoe boots: www.soyoushoes.co.uk

And guess who also loved my new shoes: pick-a-boo (it's Loulou)!

Oh no, don't take my picture, I'm shy!!! (lol)

I know I promised to post some Guy Laroche pics today but my brother couldn’t give them to me yet so I hope to post them asap! Tonight I will be attending the AXDW once again. I will update you on that on tomorrow’s post.

Day 51 - Athens Xclusive Designers Week - Miltos!

As promised I’m back with pics from the AXDW. Last night was the opening of the event and I attended two shows: Miltos and Guy Laroche. It was well worth it and I was sure that I wouldn’t be disappointed by either shows.
Miltos is a Greek designer that I admire, whose collections are always characterized by an all time classic elegance, high quality fabrics and retro chic aesthetics.
The collection he presented yesterday, at the AXDW, was inspired by equestrian sports, with riding coats and trousers, equestrian boots, figure hugging tweed jackets with victorian style shirts and velvet maxi dresses.
Although I would find it very hard to adopt this style as it was presented in the show (except if I was going hunting with Prince Harry, lol), I would gladly wear several pieces, incorporating them in my own style. I also have to say that I absolutely adored the music of the show and the 40’s style make up!

Me and my brother (the photographer) at the AXDW:

Eyes: Mac beauty marked over a black base, Mac quarry at the crease, Bourjois black eyeliner, Benefit badgal lash mascara
