Day 6 - 60's bliss!

I came across this picture of Victoria Beckham:

(source: www.zimbio.com)

wearing a beautiful vintage Courrèges dress and it inspired me to create a 60’s Mod look. I love the styles of the 60’s and I think that A-line dresses are very flattering. Unfortunately, I can’t afford a Courrèges piece, but I remembered I had bought an A-line dress ages ago from a very hip shop in Athens, called “Acrobat” (I don’t think that shop exists anymore).
I wore the dress with a pair of patent open-toe pumps and I tied a lime green scarf around my tiny ponytail, just to add some color to the whole black and white look.
Make up wise, I used a white eyeshadow on the lid and a dark grey on the crease with a winged eyeliner. Black eyeshadow on the lower lashline and white eyeliner at the waterline. Several coats of black mascara and a light pink lipgloss (with no shimmer or glitter). Overall it had a 60’s feel, without being totally retro.

  3. I love vintage! I prefer searching for vintage accessories, I prefer them from vintage clothes! There was a great store here in Athens 'Le Strenghe son Tornate" where I had shopped two great bags, one brown with a lovely crocodile print and a white one. Your styling is great, unfortunately "Acrobat" no more exists, it had great clothes

  4. @ Pink_Fish: Thank you for leaving a comment! Yes "Acrobat" was a great shop and I'm sorry it doesn't exist anymore. I've been to "Le Strenghe son Tornate" and it has very nice vintage pieces, although a bit expensive in my opinion. Next time you want to go shopping there let me know and maybe we can go together! :))

  5. @Pas:yes it was kinda expensive, I think the store closed some months ago, I bought these two bags I told you in a seasonal bazaar inside the shop. Other items sold there were really expensive.I'll let you in my next vintage trip :)
